ALOE ERINACEA

ALOE ERINACEA is the most beautiful species of the genus ALOE. Formerly a member of the family ALOACEAE it is nowadays part of the family ASPHODELACEAE.

Culture is really easy. I grow my Aloes in a mineral substrate of granite, lava and pumice. I do not add any peat or humus.
In summer it stands outside in the full sun only protected from rainfall. Temperature will be tolerated from 5 C to 40 C. I only make sure that under 15 C the plants stand really dry for cold and wet roots will rot.
Watering depends of the weather. I water them in the same way I do with my cacti.
